Cold-chain logistics is defined not only by the controlled environments themselves, but by the critical moments that exist between them. In Shanghai, ambient temperatures rising above 38°C transformed a seemingly short 100-metre transfer into one of the most decisive stages of this PVG – GRU operation.

While the cargo was being loaded, four Envirotainer One Pal pallet shippers were carefully preconditioned to maintain the required temperature integrity. Once the shipment was unloaded from the temperature-controlled vehicle, thermal blankets were applied to shield the products during the brief but high-risk transfer into the cool room. A Tive GPS logger was also integrated into the shipment setup, providing continuous visibility throughout the process.

When ambient conditions actively work against product stability, even a short exposure window carries significant risk.
